An Aircraft Detailer's Dream – No Bug Stick Wings

It seems like a thousand years ago when I started my first real business washing aircraft at age 12. It turned out to be a very astute business decision in hindsight. Still, as a 12-year old it was really hard work, and I can remember scrubbing the bugs off the leading edge and wings of small light aircraft and business jets. Then I'd have to wax them really good to help me get the new bugs off next time I washed the same aircraft.

That was then, and this is now and there may be relief on the way for future young aircraft cleaners. Let's talk, let's discuss some new future technologies in Aerospace.

There is a great video on YouTube talking about NASA wing research for modern aircraft. The title of the video is: "The Super-Efficient Future of Air Travel" and it is well worth watching. Fast forward the video to: 16:00 on the video.

This video discusses the drag, both induced drag and parasitic drag, from dead bugs and how this affects a wing's performance, which is another reason why aircraft detailers are constantly washing and waxing the wings of aircraft.

Now then, just imagine in the future specialized coatings that prevent dead bugs (smushed ones) from sticking – wouldn't that be a wonderful thing, yes, I agree totally. Wow, looking back, all I can say is; I sure wish they had such coatings back then, I'd have certainly saved myself so work, or would I have – maybe not, because if those coatings existed my aircraft washing, cleaning and detailing services may not have been needed.

Well, either way, these new technologies will be a complete game-changer for the Aircraft Detailing Industry, much like no-stick Teflon pans changed things for cooking bacon and eggs. Material Science has come a long way, and it is amazing just how much it will reshape the world we live in the future, even for those sub-sectors of our economy, things like aircraft washing and cleaning.

Sometimes I feel as if our industry doesn't stay up on all the new technologies that affect us, and yes, it is a relatively simple business sector to participate in, nevertheless a prudent operator or owner of such a business needs to stay up with the leading edge of aerospace tech to stay ahead of the competition, thus, I thought you might like to hear about this. After all, we don't want any of our workers getting carpal tunnel while scrubbing off all those obliterated and baked on bugs do we? Please consider all this and think on it.

Influences of Global Culture on Indian Architecture

A region's architecture is a reflection of its culture, history & religion. It is also a reflection of the state & prosperity of the region's inhabitants, making it a scale to gauge the living standard of the local population during any given period of time. One of the best examples of this is the Indian School Architecture, a style heavily influenced by the subcontinent's long history, as well as its cultural growth.

Modern Indian architecture is the culmination of our millenniums of history, both the good & the bad. The architectural styles prevalent in subcontinent are by and large the result of strong cultural roots as well as global influences throughout the ages. The ups and downs this nation has faced throughout the history can be perfectly traced in its monuments. These buildings are a perfect amalgamation of ancient Indian traditions and the various brushes the subcontinent had with other cultures.

India's rich & diverse heritage is apparent in its language, education, language, and religion; passed down through generations. The country economy has gone through multiple phases of reforms, each of which has helped bolster its urban architecture, pushing it towards the global standards, while at the same time keeping the traditional Vaastu-shastra intact and relevant.

The various interactions over the years with different cultures, most apparent of which are the Mughal, British, French & Portuguese; which has a great influence in shaping our present infrastructure. These outside influences have inspired some beautiful and magnificent marvels of architecture, giving rise to various schools, of which the Indo-Victorian style is still prominent in the western, eastern & south-eastern part of the country.

One of the major styles which influence the modern Indian school of thought is Italian Architecture, known for its elegant lines, refined edges and practicality. Being one of the most popular and interpreted from architectural styles, Italian School of architecture has significant influence on the present Indian School of thought, most apparent in the use of space and light to create delightful spaces, which blends quite amazingly with the geometrical styles which are a trademark Indian school of design.

Indian culture and Indian architecture are synonymous. Both are built on the solid rock of faith and acceptance, on the belief of unity and strength in diversity. Indian architects have constantly used the global influences to create and showcase a style unique in its diverse creativity, taking the rich Indian culture and heritage forward in the contemporary era.

How To Tell If Someone Is An Entrepreneur

One thing defines an entrepreneur – constructive action.

Typically, they're the salesman – doing * everything * to get people to buy their stuff. We all have the image in our heads; the "wheeler-dealer", picking any opportunity to try and exploit (and other people) for profit.

Indeed, the term "entrepreneur" seems to have drifted around the present lexicon – from "something you did" (typically to improve people's lives) into a blend of "money mad hustler" and "someone who doesn't 'follow the rules' ".

The reality is the modern meaning could not be further from the truth.

Entrepreneurship isn't a vocation or job. It's not a label which you apply to yourself in order to make yourself more endearing to a particular party, or clientele … it's a way of doing things.

Many "entrepreneurial" types actually have jobs. They'll never admit they are "entrepreneurs", although they exhibit all the traits of one. The question is what these traits are, and whether you – or someone you know – has them.

What Is An "Entrepeneur" ?

Entrepreneur is a word derived from French – loosely describing a "problem solver".

Whilst its connotation has changed over the years, the premise persists – an "entrepreneur" is someone who creates a "widget" and has the ability to encourage other people to buy it.

What this "widget" is can be a commercial product, service or idea .

It's actually interesting … some of the greatest "entrepreneurs" of history actually had nothing to do with money. They were completely focused on the development of a particular "result" and committed themselves whole-heartedly to its realization.

Whether this meant conquering the Persian empire (Alexander), developing the light bulb (Edison) or creating stable PC systems (Gary Kildall), conquering the Aztec empire (Cortez), the term "entrepreneur" really denotes someone who wants to build something.

The BIG difference between "original" entrepreneurs and the swathes of new-age idiots (who typically aggrandize a hedonistic lifestyle + seem to have an infatuation for "crypto") is that the former were committed to a single profession, and manage to " leverage "that through the development of increasingly ambitious" projects.

These projects could be anything … but they all had a core "reason" to exist. This reason was what drove the originator to pursue the endeavor, and continue even when it was questionable whether it was even "possible" or not. Obviously, the reason we remember them is that they not only discovered it was "possible", but entirely feasible … hence their success.

How To Tell If Someone Is One

The typical sign is they will do strange things …

  • interest in esoteric ideas
  • pursuit of interests not directly correlated to the accumulation of wealth
  • strong displays of passion for particular subjects
  • immersive nature with different ideas (trying to recreate historical events etc)

The point is that REAL entrepreneurs are not typically concerned about money at all .

Their primary concern is the creation of a "thing". What that thing is, is determined by either their character or interests … but in every instance of someone who's achieved a large amount of success, they were completely and utterly focused on doing "their" thing no matter what.

This is actually important.

The modern world seems to have every 18 year old male wanting to be an "entrepreneur" – like it's a badge of honor or something. If you're not "growing", you're "dying" … right?

The truth is that our society has become so focused on convenience that the majority of these money-grabbing idiots have absolutely no business even considering themselves "entrepreneurs".

They have no experience, no skills and are only latching onto the latest "fad" in order to escape the mediocrity which has come to pervade the West's consumerist culture.

Entrepreneurship typically follows YEARS of interest in a particular subject. It typically follows HUGE investments of time & energy into the cultivation of a skill set, experience and "involvement" in a particular space.

Most importantly – entrepreneurship is about doing something "your way".

Stay Clear Of Modern Idiots

The BIGGEST problem I continually see from the hoards of idiots is they are ALL following a "book" or some other "rules" on "how" to be an entrepreneur.

I see it all the time … guys reading all the biographies, neural studies, latest books from the big wealthy fat cat – all trying to discover the "secret" to massive success.

What's ironic is that all of this stuff just works on the "outside" of the issue – the same people who read all the "stuff" end up with the SAME questions … "what do I sell?" – "how do I know if I'm going to make money on a product? " – "What's the secret to getting rich?".

  • If you have to ask "what do I sell", you're not an entrepreneur.
  • If you have to listen to what a "successful" person has to say on a subject, you're not an entrepreneur.
  • If you have to consider all the "rules" put forward by others, you're not an entrepreneur.

The point is that the modern world is chock-full of wannabe losers. Even the "successful" ones aren't actually truly successful – they may have made a bunch of money, but what did they actually achieve ? The answer is relatively little (or even nothing).

The truth is that if you want to "be" an entrepreneur, you have to get to work.

EVERYBODY has their own work. Some are models. Some are footballers. Some are computer programmers. Some are painters.

The "trick" is to do ANYTHING in order to get moving forward in an industry; Clean the floors if necessary.

Once you start to gain some progress, the "entrepreneurial" stuff comes from leveraging any progress made within it – either to create & market a product, or to help a market better appreciate the potential of another device / product.

Traits Of "Real" Entrepreneurs

  • Quiet (or at least reserved )
  • Fully capable of embracing failure (indeed, using it as a spur to change / adapt)
  • Working constantly on different elements within their "industry" (again, everyone has a place)
  • Unafraid of social constructs (just because someone said it doesn't make it true)
  • Laser focused on what "they" want to do (you want to bring sustainable farming to Africa? This is the type of thing a "real" entrepreneur will actually do)
  • Unafraid to give freely (most "entrepreneur" types are not attached to money at all … typically not having much until they find mercantile success)

If you haven't worked it out, the core is purpose.

The modern world has very little emphasis on purpose; rather it focuses on productivity.

Nothing wrong with this, but it devoids most people of their passion. It's good for GDP and McDonald's – but bad for the creativity lying latent within a large number of people.

If you want to adopt "entrepreneurial" traits, the key is to become attuned to a particular "purpose" – through which you're able to invest your entire life.

If you're just looking at Ferrari's and thinking that you "kind of want to become rich" – entrepreneurship is not going to do that. It's a very difficult road, with only the most persistent and enduring surviving.

You need to get to work, and only then will you discover hidden opportunities into which you're able to apply your expertise, experience or network to build something of real value to the world. This real value is then absorbed by the market, who'll either pay handsomly for it – or reject it. This is pretty-much what determines whether someone could be considered an "entrepreneur" or not.

Climate Science Budget Of NASA Shows Its Bureaucratic Bloated Budget Battle Challenges

The new Trump Administration and the Republicans in the US Congress are concerned with the runaway spending of NASA's climate science division, and to be quite frank, so am I. Many believe that Earth Sciences are one of NASA's most important endeavors, however most Americans see NASA as synonymous with human space flight. Reality is that NASA has been instrumental in aeronautics, material science, ocean research and Earth science, and more recently climate science which has a $ 2 Billion annual budget, nearly 10% of NASA's total annual budget, this has law makers up-in-arms .

Whereas there are important questions to be answered about our atmosphere on the home planet, still, I don't see that all that importance to NASA's main focus – the space mission. Recently, I learned of a NASA research project which surveyed air-samplings in the atmosphere (troposphere) from a volcano in HI. But, think about it, we don't launch space vehicles from Hawaiian Islands punching through the troposphere there. Just like we aren't launching rockets on the top of the hill in Ecuador where there are volcanoes, but if we did, we'd still get a large advantage in efficiency, nearly 15%. Maybe we need a trade deal with Ecuador, but I digress.

The Troposphere isn't really space. We already divert aircraft around volcanic activity. We already have lots of research on volcanic activity and particulate in the atmosphere. Sure we can all think of many applications and questions to be learned from this data. Just as we can study the rocket fuel emissions in the troposphere near our US launch sites if we are worried about that. Yes, if we really care we can fly this NASA DC-8 flying laboratory on normal airline routes and slightly off of them to see mankind's emissions.

We can track particulate from the heavier material to see how long it stays aloft as each volcano and source has a specific signature. Yes, we could do a lot of research. However, apparently, the amount of particulate in from volcanic activity in upper atmosphere supposedly isn't a question to climate change because the academic elite have already "Proved" (or so they claim) that it is driven by human emissions of CO2, so that funding that volcanoes also contribute isn't needed. Climate Scientists cannot have it both ways – either the claim that it's primarily driven by man is an absolute or it's not. If it isn't an absolute then we need to STOP trashing skeptics, and if it is true as currently claimed then it needs no more funding.

Now that the data has been collected, I am sure it will be used to promote more regulations on airline emissions for the global warming agenda, but not be used to diminish the ridiculous claim that catastrophic warming is being caused by CO2 emissions from human activity. It's a set up. Even the explainer of this NASA climate science project in a video told us about how mankind also contributed greatly to the same gases.

Let's not pretend that these experiments are anything less than cashing in on the global warming research cash-cow money train and this NASA atmospheric research is yet another attempt to prove how important it is to reduce human put forth greenhouse gases to save the planet – Yippie Skippy, we want an ice age instead of warming? NASA is being used and funded for a global political socialist agenda which is counter to the best interests of our nation's future. That's hardly why the taxpayers believe in NASA. We want NASA because it represents American Greatness and human space flight – it's time for NASA to focus on that.

Home Health Care Equipment

Home health care equipment makes it possible for people to be directly involved in maintaining their own health care. Medical devices, tools and technologies designed specifically for home use are becoming more and more popular because of their convenience and their user-friendly nature. Innovations in home health care equipment include "smart" devices that significantly lower the amount of machine maintenance necessary. Many are also wirelessly connected to the Internet, which aids in providing efficient, monitored service.

Convenience and reduced health care costs are some the more important elements that make home health care equipment popular among patients. People with certain conditions which need strict monitoring no longer need to confine themselves to hospitals because there are devices which can now monitor patients in the comfort of their own homes. These devices are geared towards teaching people to monitor themselves and their conditions through the use of tools that can give warnings and signs concerning their health. This could mean more efficient and effective health care, contributed to by patients who have more control over his / her condition.

Home health care equipment sales have been steadily increasing based on customer demand for these innovations and advances. More and more, medical home devices are being designed and produced to cater to various medical needs. A lot of these new devices are very innovative and advanced. Soon to come are toothbrushes that can check one's blood sugar and bacteria levels while brushing, that even comes with a holder that transmits information directly to the person's medical file. People can soon expect heart monitors that can be connected to computers, making it convenient for people to monitor their own heart rates and other vital information which can easily be transmitted to their doctors via the Internet.

Another popular advancement in home health care is the use of video devices for telemedicine. Video equipment used in telemedicine offer high-resolution images and audio that are much better than what computer phones and telephone lines can offer. There are even telemedicine devices which include a blood pressure cuff, a stethoscope and a thermometer, aside from the monitor which directly transmits vital information to the owner's health care provider.

The Oath of a Kundalini Yoga Teacher

"The Oath of a Kundalini Teacher:" I am not a woman. I am not a man. I am not a person. I am not myself. I am a teacher. "~ Yogi Bhajan

I have a confession to make. I struggled with the Teacher's Oath when I started my Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training. When I first heard it, I rebelled. What do you mean I'm not a woman? If I'm not a person than what am I? And if I am not myself, then who is me? I did not get it and it confused me immensely. Who was this guy to tell me that I'm not me? Can you say "resistance?" How about that for a great start?

In this article, I'll explain about The Teacher's Oath and what it means to me now compared to my first impression. I'll also touch on the key ethical responsibilities a KY teacher has in terms of service to students, personal conduct, and roles. And finally I'll bring in my relationship to the teachings and to the source of the teachings.

Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, of Golden Bridge in Los Angeles, says that, "as Kundalini yoga teachers, [we] take this [Teacher's] Oath. It sets the precedent as to why we are there and what we are to deliver: these sacred teachings . Our purpose is to deliver the student to himself-not to the teacher. We are there to inspire the students. "

How do I feel about The Teacher's Oath now? It is about uplifting humanity! Yogi Bhajan gave the Teacher's Oath as a reminder to keep our ego out of our teaching and to always respond with what is in the best interest of the student. He is trying to teach us to "shine the soul of the student," not to shine our own egos. It is about being a messenger of the teachings; being a vehicle and letting it flow. The Teachers Oath reminds us to be the teacher and to uplift the soul of each student.

Hand-in-hand with the Teachers Oath are the ethical responsibilities a KY teacher has. These responsibilities are three-fold. First, is ethical responsibility in terms of service. As a KY teacher it is essential to keep the purity of the teachings and to teach them in a way that is selfless. It is the teacher's responsibility to connect students to the flow of the teachings and to elevate the student to the awareness of the Infinite within them.

Second, is ethical responsibility in terms of personal conduct. This is about walking the talk and teaching by example. It is also about relating to the spirit, soul, and essence of a person, not their ego. Additionally, the teacher-student relationships are to remain professional. Personal conduct is to be of the highest caliber and always from a place of deep care, respect, and concern for others.

The third and final piece is ethical responsibility in terms of role. As a KY teacher you need to let go of your identification with your own success or failure. In this role, a KY teacher needs to identify with "being a teacher" as an infinite task. It is about being mindful of the students (ability levels, never being harassive, honoring all belief systems, and keeping confidences). In terms of the role as a KY teacher, choose right over wrong, ethics over convenience … these are the choices that measure your life (not just your teaching experiences). Travel the path of integrity … for there is never the wrong time to do the right thing.

To close off this discussion, it is important to bring in what my relationship is to the teachings and the source of the teachings.

My relationship to the teachings is one of respect, consideration, love, appreciation, gratitude, and service, always, at all times, regardless of my particular momentary feelings and opinions, because that is the attitude I need to have toward my very Essence.

As for my relationship to the source of the teachings, it was difficult in the beginning. As a pure Sagittarian, I am often desperately unhappy in regimented situations as I tend to become bored and restless, and I also resent authority. So, to come to this type of spiritual teaching that is based on the tradition of a guru transmitting the wisdom was an interesting choice. I know that, typically, people surrender to the guru to lead the way until you have the discipline of the pure teachings. It all shifted into greatness once I started to trust my teacher and surrender to the experiences. Now, KY is a proven step-by-step system to walk my own path. It is all LOVE … pure LOVE. I surrender my ego to my soul. I came to explore the knowledge and did not know that the knowledge would start to explore me. It was about the wisdom of yielding to, rather than opposing, the flow of life.

I get it now … just as Mark Ciaburri claims, "My whole being moves toward these teachings. I love what I am learning, and unlearning."

Top 10 Reasons People Give for Having Plastic Surgery

Plastic surgery is not just for the rich and famous, although it seems more and more if you are rich, and in the spotlight, you've "had work done." The tabloids LOVE it when a celebrity gets work done. " OMG did you notice that Cameron Diaz has less smile lines around her eyes? "

But the practice of altering one's appearance is only one aspect of plastic surgery.

"Plastic" does not refer to the substance used in manufacturing toys. If you have plastic surgery, you will not end up having any foreign substances in your body (with the exception of augmentation). The word refers to its origins. The Greek plastikos means to form or to mold – in other words, to change.

Before we get into the reasons people give, I have categorized the types of plastic surgery into reconstructive and cosmetic; There is a bit of overlap, as some reconstructive surgeries can be considered cosmetic and vice versa.

Reconstructive or Reconstructive / Cosmetic?

1. Accidents can leave people scarred or deformed. Car wrecks, workplace mishaps, lab experiments gone wrong, falling, animal bites, burns, sports, etc. can wreak havoc on the body and sometimes both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery is necessary.

2. Birth defects and birthmarks such as cleft lips, ear deformities and skeletal deformities can cause severe physical and emotional handicaps. Reconstructive surgery – often a series of surgeries done as the person grows – corrects birth defects and restores normal functioning and appearance.

3. Cancer. Reconstructive breast surgery is common among women who have undergone a mastectomy. Although the procedure is not necessary from a medical standpoint, it helps ease psychological trauma.

Cosmetic or Reconstructive / Cosmetic?

1. Massive weight loss . A person who has lost a huge amount of weight quickly will have a lot of excess skin that refuses to shrink. Removing the excess skin is a way to correct the appearance of the damage caused by obesity.

2. Vanity / Self esteem / Self-image . People love to judge others for getting cosmetic surgery. This is a fine line … there's really no difference between altering one's appearance using makeup, fake nails, fake eyelashes and using more permanent methods like plastic surgery. If it makes you happy and it doesn't hurt anyone, there's nothing wrong with it. Boob jobs, nose jobs, tummy tucks and butt lifts may seem frivolous to some but can make all the difference in the world to someone who suddenly feels beautiful – or handsome – many men get "work" done too!

Non-surgical cosmetic procedures like laser hair removal, skin sanding / laser peels to remove scarring, lasers to remove birthmarks and using Botox to relax certain facial muscles also fall under "self-improvement through medical procedures".

Not all women want to go bigger. Some are blessed, or cursed, depending on their point of view, with an overabundance of breast tissue. This can cause pain, deep shoulder ruts from bra straps digging in and inability to participate in sports. In some cases it's medically warranted, in others it's vanity. Even men get breast reductions. Moobs are out! Add or subtract, the ultimate objective is to make a person happy and able to function in life the way they want.

Plastic Surgery Controversy

One area of controversy surrounding plastic surgery is an increased use among teens. Some want birthmarks removed; others hate their noses and others are severely scarred from acne. Breast augmentation is usually not allowed until a woman is over 18, and procedures such as nose jobs need to wait until the person has stopped growing (late teens). Doctors screen teens to be sure the teen is mature and responsible enough to undergo the surgery and that they're doing it for the right reasons (looking like their favorite movie star is not accepted as a reason).

"Why I did it" surveys vary by demographic. Hollywood stars will tell you that it's an essential career move while anyone who has had a severe accident will tell you that it's for health reasons. In no particular order, the Top 10 reasons are:

1. Turn back the hands of time

2. Look like a beauty, not a beast

3. Look smokin 'hot (sometimes like a person one admires)

4. Erase mistakes (like scars due to an overzealous sense of immortality)

5. Get rid of too much "me"

6. Make more of "me" in the right places

7. To make my partner happy ( WRONG REASON !!! )

8. To fix what's broken (reconstructive surgery)

9. To make sex better (because I'll look and feel sexier)

10. To be happy with my looks (comfortable in my own skin)

Whatever your reasons, weigh the options carefully, realize that any surgery presents risks, and that the results may cover up a bigger problem. Definitely do not have plastic surgery to please your partner. You are who you you are, not a clay model for someone to play with. Respect yourself and be true to who you are.

If plastic surgery will make you feel like a beauty and not a beast and you feel in your heart that it's the right course of action, then do your research, find a reputable surgeon and let the transformations begin!

Bilateral Total Knee Replacement Treatment: A New Way to Look at Surgery

Arthritis is an inflammation of the joints that can affect one joint or multiple joints. It can cause pain and stiffness in the affected area. When these symptoms occur on one or both the knees, it indicates that the cartilage in the joints has worn away. Bilateral total knee replacement treatment is done by the knee surgeon to replace the damaged joints for relieving the symptoms.

During the bilateral total knee surgery replacement treatment, the knee surgeon will replace the damaged areas of the knee joint with an artificial knee called prosthesis which is made up of plastic, metal or ceramic. This will help to restore nearly all function of the damaged knee and relieve the arthritis pain. Often the doctor will recommend this surgery of the pain in the knee has been interfering with the daily activities and has negative effects on the quality of the life of the patients. Most of the times, this surgery is done on people over 60 years as younger people tend to wear out their artificial knees more quickly.

When the severe arthritis affects both the knees, the knee surgeon will suggest the bilateral total knee replacement treatment. However, since it involves more risk so it is typically recommended only for those who are:

  • Physically fit
  • Motivated to undergo the physical therapy and rehabilitation post surgery to regain their mobility
  • In overall good health

The bilateral total knee replacement treatment may involve one surgery or two surgeries. If both the knees are replaced at the same time, this is known as simultaneous bilateral knee replacement. If each knee is replaced at a different time then this is called as a staged bilateral knee replacement. Either the surgery may involve any combination of the total knee replacement or the partial knee replacement. The knee surgeon will help you decide what is best choice for you.

The benefit to have a bilateral total knee surgery in an ideal candidate include only a surgical event with anesthesia, shorter overall hospital stay, and the ability to rehabilitate both the new knee replacements at the same time. The advantage of the bilateral total knee replacement treatment includes the lower stress level for the cardiovascular system i.e. on the heart and lungs as well as a low risk of blood transfusion requirement post surgery. Generally, this procedure is best for the elderly and/or obese patients and those needing serious medical issues. This procedure is not encouraged in the older patients or obese ones with substantial health conditions such as lung, heart and/or vascular disorders as they would be at higher risk for the significant perioperative complications.

The bilateral total knee surgery means that both the knees are replaced at the same time. It is relatively uncommon to have arthritis in both the knees to reach the same degree at the same time wherein a bilateral would be considered by the best knee surgeon. In such cases, the decision to have the bilateral total knee replacement treatment is one of convenience as the one newly operated knee and one knee still painful and stiff from arthritis can make for a difficult recovery.

Things to Consider Before Cosmetic Surgery

If you are thinking of a cosmetic surgery, don’t just rush in for a cosmetic procedure, as this is something that can change your life and the way you think about yourself, so best would be to conduct a detailed research about the procedure, find all that you should know about the procedure and then only go for the final surgery, if you are convinced enough.

Here are certain points that you need to consider before undergoing a cosmetic surgery:

Are you doing it for yourself? At times we hear reasons for cosmetic surgery, such as, I want a breast reduction or a breast augmentation not because I think they are not well, but because my boyfriend or my husband thinks they are not in shape, or I want to do a botox or dermal filler because I think my husband doesn’t find me attractive anymore, if your reason is something that matches the above mentioned, please do not undergo, because there is nothing that satisfies others need and no matter what results you might attain after your surgery, you will never be happy.

Are you medically fit? Minor disorders, such as an imbalanced blood pressure can make it tough for you to recover from a major procedure, so before considering any kind of cosmetic surgery it would be best for you to undergo a medical health checkup as prescribed by your cosmetic surgeon, to avoid any kind of complications during or after the procedure.

Don’t be the lab mice: With rising competition in the field of cosmetic surgery, cosmetic surgeons are always on the run to find new and advanced techniques and they will be experimenting it on you, so if a cosmetic surgeon introduces you with a totally new procedure or technique and tells you that this procedure is better and will enhance your looks, the best would be to ask him about the patients that have already taken the procedure and what were the outcomes and about any possible complication after the procedure.

Do you want to be someone else? If you want to undergo this surgery because you wanted to be like your favorite actress or actor, the best would be to ditch your plan for undergoing a cosmetic surgery, reason being no two people can have the same body structure, jawline or lip line or any part of the body, that can exactly be replicated to someone else body. Though your cosmetic surgeon might try to get a close enough result, at the end you will lose your identity. The best would be to stay as natural as you can and try to enhance your own beauty rather than to be like someone else.

Be realistic: No you definitely cannot be “Tom Cruise” or “Shakira” after your cosmetic surgery, but you can be a better version of yourself. It’s best for you to have realistic goals from a cosmetic surgery procedure, so you don’t feel disappointed with the end results of your surgery.

Considering the points mentioned above will definitely help you with the decision of whether you want to undergo a cosmetic surgery or not. And if your answer is still “YES” then search for the best clinic, do a detailed research about the cosmetic surgeons and select the best cosmetic surgeon that suits all your needs.
